Drug dealer killed in alleged police encounter in Chiniot two accomplices escape

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) A drug dealer was killed while two of his accomplices escaped during an alleged police encounter with CCD police in Chiniot district on April 23.

The incident occurred near the Pul Rajbah Kot Lala area. According to CCD sources, police signaled three suspicious motorcyclists to stop for checking.

The suspects opened fire instead of complying.

Police retaliated, and one suspect was injured while his two accomplices fled the scene. The injured suspect was identified as Javed.

He later succumbed to his injuries. Police said the deceased was a wanted drug dealer with five cases registered against him.

During the exchange, Constable Muhammad Ali was also targeted but remained unharmed due to his bulletproof vest.

CCD police have launched a search operation in the area to arrest the absconding suspects. Further investigations into the incident are underway.
