DRC recommends three candidates under 5% disability quota

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2026) A meeting of the District Recruitment Committee (DRC) was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Zain ul Abideen Memon to consider appointments against the 5% disability quota in compliance with the directives of the Honorable High Court of Sindh, Sukkur Bench.

According to a handout, after thorough scrutiny of documents and verification of eligibility criteria, the Committee recommended three (03) Persons with Disabilities for appointment to the posts of Naib Qasid in DEPD centres of Hyderabad.

The candidates were recommended by the Regional Director, DEPD Hyderabad Region. Among the recommended candidates, one is hearing-impaired and two are physically handicapped, selected against the reserved quota.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner-I, Section Officer SGA&CAD, Regional Director DEPD Hyderabad, Medical Superintendents of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences and Services Hospital Hyderabad, Deputy Director RCPH DEPD and other district representatives.

The Committee emphasized that the recommendations were made strictly in accordance with government policy and in compliance with the orders of the Honorable High Court of Sindh, ensuring transparency and equal opportunity in public sector employment.
