DPO Tank visits Daman Press Club, discusses Police-media coordination

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Tank, Abdul Samad on Friday visited the Daman Press Club and discussed with the journalists about strengthening cooperation between police and media for maintaining peace and stability in the district.

The DPO was received by the club’s president, Dr. Sheikh Ehsan, Vice President, Adam Khan Kundi, General Secretary, Muhammad Shahid and other office-bearers upon his arrival.

During the interaction, Abdul Samad Khan highlighted the importance of timely exchange of information and said both police and media have a shared responsibility in promoting awareness, peace and positive values in society.

He said that the journalists were playing an important role in identifying public issues and supporting institutional reforms, while the police were fully committed to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens.

The DPO also reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing coordination between the police and media to further strengthen law and order in Tank.

Speaking on the occasion, President Daman Press Club, Dr. Sheikh Ehsan thanked the DPO for visiting the press club and described the visit as encouraging for the journalist community. He also praised the sacrifices and professional services of the police in maintaining peace in the district.
