DPO Dera visits CPEC interchanges, reviews security arrangements

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Mar, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan Ziauddin Ahmed on Sunday visited the CPEC Abdul Khel Interchange and Yarik Interchange to review security arrangements and inspect police deployment along the route.

During the visit, the DPO inspected police posts established at the Abdul Khel Interchange and Yarik Interchange, and met with officers and personnel performing security duties.

On the occasion, SP Paharpur Division Iqbal Khan Baloch, DSP Panyala Sardar Alamgir Khan, and SHO Yarik Ataullah Khan accompanied the DPO.

The SP briefed the DPO on security arrangements along the CPEC route, operational preparedness of check posts, and challenges being faced in view of the prevailing security situation.

The DPO directed officers to further strengthen patrolling mechanisms and ensure strict monitoring of entry and exit points to prevent any untoward incident. He emphasized maintaining high alertness, particularly in light of the current national security scenario.

He also instructed all officers and personnel to remain vigilant, ensure the use of bulletproof jackets and other protective gear during duty, and keep a close watch on suspicious activities.

The DPO reaffirmed that ensuring the security of the CPEC route and safeguarding public life and property remained the top priority of the Dera police.
