Husband allegedly kills wife , surrenders to police

NOWSHERA VIRKAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jun, 2026) A man allegedly killed his wife in the Ismail Town area along the Nowshera Virkan-Tatlay Aali Road on Wednesday before surrendering himself to police, the police sources said.

The victim, identified as Nighat Bibi 45 years, wife of Amjad Hussain, sustained multiple wounds inflicted with a sharp-edged weapon and died from her injuries, they added.

The police said that the husband allegedly attacked his wife over domestic issue.

They said the victim suffered deep wounds to her left eyebrow, left cheek and neck.

Following the incident, the suspect reportedly went to a local police station and handed himself over to the police.

The Rescue 1122 team transferred the body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Nowshera Virkan for further medico-legal formalities.

The police launched an investigation, the sources added.
