District council holds flag hoisting ceremony on Pakistan Day

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) A simple yet dignified ceremony was held at the District Council Attock to mark Pakistan Day, highlighting patriotic spirit and national unity.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Attock, Waqas Aslam Marth, was the chief guest and hoisted the national flag. The national anthem was played, with participants attending the ceremony enthusiastically.

The event was attended by Assistant Commissioner Attock, Arif Qureshi, Admin Officer to Deputy Commissioner Zaheer Ahmed, officials from Rescue 1122, Municipal Committee Attock, and all employees of the District Council.

Addressing the gathering, Marth described March 23 as a golden chapter in the freedom struggle of the Muslims of the subcontinent, when the resolve for a separate homeland was made.

He emphasized that citizens must understand the significance of the day and contribute to the nation’s development, prosperity, and stability.

He added that by following the principles of unity, faith, and discipline, Pakistan could become a strong and progressive country.

The ceremony concluded with a special prayer for the country’s security, stability, and prosperity, while attendees reaffirmed their commitment to serving the nation.
