KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) The district administration has carried out a series of inspections across the district under the District Service Delivery (DSD) agenda, targeting illegal cigarette sales, public safety standards, land record management, encroachments, and healthcare services on the directives of Deputy Commissioner , Muhammad Nawaz.
Assistant Commissioner (Headquarters) Naveed Ahmad visited various shops to check the sale of illegal cigarettes. During the operation, a quantity of contraband cigarettes was seized, while shopkeepers involved in the unlawful trade were warned of strict legal action in case of future violations.
Additional Assistant Commissioner, Muhammad Hamza Mutahir inspected Dhoda Swimming Pool on Bannu Highway, reviewing water cleanliness, use of disinfectants, staff attendance, and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
He also visited Kharmatu Patwarkhana, where attendance registers, land records, and official documents were examined to ensure proper record maintenance and adherence to prescribed procedures.
Separately, Additional Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), Ibrahim Khan inspected Masood Park Swimming Pool on KTM Road in Shapur. Although the facility was closed at the time of inspection, the management was directed to strictly implement safety measures and SOPs.
He later visited Malik Suhbat Khan Swimming Pool, where water quality, staff availability, and maintenance arrangements were reviewed to ensure a safe environment for visitors.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>As part of the anti-illegal cigarette campaign, Ibrahim Khan also conducted an operation in Chungi No. 7 Bazaar, seizing 200 packets of contraband cigarettes.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to continuing action against unlawful commercial activities.
Meanwhile, Additional Assistant Commissioner Gambat, Syed Mukhtiar Shah, accompanied by officials of the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) and local police, conducted an anti-encroachment drive in Gambat Bazaar.
Encroaching materials were confiscated, and shopkeepers were instructed not to occupy government land or obstruct public pathways.
In the health sector, AC (HQ) Naveed Ahmad inspected Basic Health Unit (BHU) Sher Kot, reviewing the availability of medicines, staff attendance, cleanliness, and implementation of SOPs.
He issued necessary instructions to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services to residents.
Additionally, AAC (Revenue) Ibrahim Khan visited the Afghan Refugees NADRA Registration Centre to assess registration procedures, security arrangements, and administrative operations.
The district administration reiterated its resolve to ensure effective public service delivery, enforcement of laws, and provision of safe and efficient facilities for citizens.
