DIKhan Police seize weapons during search operation, arrest four suspects

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Mar, 2026) Police in the Panyala circle conducted a successful search and strike operation on Thursday, arresting

four suspects and recovering illegal weapons and ammunition from their possession.

According to police spokesman, the operation was carried out under the supervision of District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan Ziauddin Ahmed, and led by SP Paharpur Division Iqbal Khan Baloch and DSP Panyala Sardar Alamgir Khan, along with SHO Police Station Shaheed Nawab Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan and other police personnel.

During the operation, police arrested four suspects and recovered two 30-bore pistols and two Kalashnikov rifles along with ammunition.

The arrested suspects were identified as accused Muhammad Zubair, son of Muhammad Sabir, a resident of Mujahid Nagar, Paharpur, from whom a 30-bore pistol with four cartridges was recovered.

Another suspect, Hazrat Umar, son of Muhammad Sadiq, a resident of Abdul Khel, was found in possession of a 30-bore pistol with six cartridges.

Police also arrested Hamid Ali, son of Ahmad Ali, resident of Abdul Khel, from whom a Kalashnikov rifle with 21 cartridges was recovered.

Similarly, Muhammad Usman, son of Muhammad Ramzan, also a resident of Abdul Khel, was taken into custody after police recovered a Kalashnikov rifle with 20 cartridges from his possession.

Police have registered cases against the accused and shifted them to custody for further legal proceedings.

A police spokesperson said that operations against criminals and illegal weapons would continue across the district to maintain law and order.
