Decision to introduce AI technology in Punjab Forensic Science Authority

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) Punjab Forensic Science Authority (PFSA) has decided to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) technology to develop the investigation system on modern lines.

According to officials, AI technology will be used to identify crimes and implement smart investigation systems in forensic labs, while an AI-based forensic network will be established across the province.

The use of modern technology will help increase transparency in the investigation process and significantly reduce human errors.

Officials say that a new system of data and knowledge sharing will also be introduced between the Punjab Information Technology board and the Forensic Authority.

All districts of the province will be connected to the central system through this modern forensic network.
