DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jamshed Khan has reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the issues faced by journalists, describing them as an integral part of society and key contributors to public awareness.
He expressed these views during a visit to Daman Press Club (Registered), where he was warmly received by President Dr Sheikh Ehsan, Vice President Adam Khan Kundi, and other members of the press club.
Speaking with journalists, the Deputy Commissioner said he was pleased to see that members of Daman Press Club were associated with leading national media organizations. He emphasized the importance of objective and impartial journalism, urging reporters to continue highlighting public issues and offering constructive criticism to help improve governance and public service delivery.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>“Constructive reporting provides us with an opportunity to identify and rectify our shortcomings. My office remains open to every citizen, and the district administration is making every possible effort to resolve the problems faced by the people of Tank,” he said.
The Deputy Commissioner also acknowledged the media’s role in bridging the gap between the public and administration and stressed the need for continued cooperation in addressing community concerns.
On the occasion, Daman Press Club President Dr Sheikh Ehsan appreciated the Deputy Commissioner’s public service initiatives in the district.
