DC Sukkur Intensifies Ramazan monitoring to ensure public relief

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Feb, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sukkur, Nader Shehzad Khan, on Sunday, has intensified monitoring activities across the district during the holy month of Ramazan to ensure maximum relief for citizens. As part of these efforts, he visited subsidized ration stalls and various markets in Rohri.

Accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Rohri Ghulam Murtaza Ghanghro and the Mukhtiarkar, the DC inspected a subsidized ration stall in Rohri, reviewing the availability and quality of essential food items and checking compliance with the officially notified price list. He also sought details from on-duty staff and interacted directly with shoppers to gather feedback on prices and facilities.

Later, he visited Rohri Shahi Bazaar, where he inspected the vegetable and fruit market, meat shops, and grocery stores.

During the visit, he checked the prices of essential commodities and directed shopkeepers to strictly follow government-approved rates. He also spoke with customers at various outlets to confirm that items were being sold according to the official price list.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Nader Shehzad Khan stated that the objective of these daily visits is to ensure the availability of essential commodities at controlled prices and to provide real relief to the public during Ramazan.

He emphasized that the district administration remains fully committed to safeguarding public interest and will take prompt action against any violations or complaints.
