DC reviews Muharram monitoring arrangements at control room

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner(DC) Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Wednesday reviewed security and monitoring arrangements for Muharram processions,Majalis,Sabeels and Niaz distribution points during a visit to the Muharram Control Room established at the DC Complex.

According to a district administration spokesperson,the DC inspected the control room's monitoring system and observed live surveillance of Muharram-related activities through Safe City cameras,CCTV networks and other security platforms.

Officials briefed him on security deployment, traffic management measures and monitoring mechanisms put in place to ensure the peaceful conduct of processions and religious gatherings.

DSP City Fazal Qadir and traffic police officers informed the DC about the implementation of the security and traffic plans across the district.

The DC also checked the attendance of staff deputed at the control room and reviewed the performance of the monitoring system.

Directing the concerned departments to maintain heightened vigilance,Chaudhary stressed the need for foolproof security at Majalis, processions, Sabeels and Niaz points, particularly at sensitive locations.

He instructed officials to ensure a prompt and effective response to any untoward incident.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Muhammad Arshad Wattoo,Additional Deputy Commissioner General Rana Muhammad Abu Bakar and other officials were also present during the visit.
