ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, Sarmad Saleem Akram on Wednesday reviewed Eid-ul-Adha arrangements across the district, including transport facilities, healthcare services, prison welfare measures and emergency response operations under the Provincial Governments Good Governance Road Map and District Service Delivery programme.
On Eid day, Sarmad Saleem Akram paid a special visit to District Jail Abbottabad where he met prisoners along with the jail superintendent, distributed sweets and extended Eid greetings to inmates. He listened to prisoners issues and directed the jail administration to take steps for resolving their problems. The deputy commissioner also inspected different sections of the jail, including the hospital and kitchen, while reviewing cleanliness, food quality and other facilities.
The deputy commissioner also visited Benazir Teaching Hospital and District Headquarters Hospital Abbottabad, accompanied by Medical Superintendent Dr.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Israr. He inspected the ICU, wards and emergency department, met patients, inquired about their health and distributed sweets among them. Later, during a visit to Dar-ul-Aman, he met a resident women and children, distributed Eid gifts among children and reviewed the facilities being provided at the shelter home.
Meanwhile, the deputy commissioner visited the District Nerve Centre and District Control Room established for Eid-ul-Adha, where staff from Rescue Services, TMA, Health Department, WASA and other departments remained on duty to ensure uninterrupted public services. He directed officials to improve water supply, cleanliness, electricity, healthcare, traffic management and transport services for citizens and tourists, while ensuring immediate response to complaints during the Eid holidays
