LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Ijaz on Sunday visited Allama Iqbal Town

and reviewed administrative matters, development projects, sanitation arrangements,

and public service delivery in the area.

Accompanied by Chief Officer of MCL, Assistant Commissioner Allama Iqbal, and officials

of LWMC and WASA, the DC conducted a detailed inspection of various localities including

Niaz Baig, Qattar Band Road, Thokar Niaz Baig, and the Motorway Link Road. During the

visit, the Assistant Commissioner briefed him on progress under the Lahore Development

Programme (LDP), cleanliness operations, and other civic matters.

The DC also assessed the performance of dengue field workers and reviewed healthcare

facilities at a Maryam Nawaz Health Clinic, directing officials to ensure provision of quality

medical services to citizens. He stressed that all development schemes under the LDP must

be completed within stipulated timelines while maintaining high construction standards.

Issuing directives, the DC ordered immediate resolution of sewerage issues, open manholes,

and drinking water supply problems across the district. He instructed LWMC to ensure exemplary

cleanliness arrangements and emphasized strict compliance with safety protocols at all

development sites to safeguard the public.

He further directed dengue teams to intensify field monitoring to effectively control the virus,

adding that no compromise would be made on quality, safety measures, or timelines of ongoing

projects.

DC Muhammad Ali Ijaz reiterated that all available resources were being utilized to accomplish

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Clean Lahore” mission, while prioritizing international

standards and public safety in development initiatives. He added that citizens were being

provided improved healthcare facilities through Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics.
