DC Matiari reviews Eid-ul-Fitr arrangements

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Yousif Shaikh on Tuesday said that providing a safe, peaceful and well-facilitated environment to the public on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr is the top priority of the district administration.

He emphasized that all departments must perform their duties efficiently in this regard.

He expressed this while chairing a meeting of the district disaster management authority (DDMA) Matiari, where special focus was given to the arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr 2026.

The meeting was attended by officers and representatives from police, health, LG, irrigation, highways, rescue 1122, PPHI, NADRA, NGOs, transport authority and other relevant departments along with members of civil society.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on potential emergency situations during eid, security measures, transport arrangements, fare monitoring, cleanliness, medical facilities and rescue services.

The deputy commissioner directed all departments to remain alert and ensure that their machinery, staff and resources were fully prepared at all times to handle any emergency.

He instructed transport authorities to strictly monitor fares and take immediate action against overcharging, while municipal bodies were directed to ensure effective sanitation arrangements. The health department and rescue 1122 were directed to keep emergency services fully active during eid days to provide prompt assistance to the public. At the end of the meeting, it was reaffirmed that all relevant departments would work with coordination.
