DC leads rally to express solidarity with armed forces in Sialkot

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali on Friday led a rally in the city to express solidarity with the armed forces on completion of one year of the success of “Marka-e-Haq Bunyan-un-Marsoos”.

The rally, jointly led by District Police Officer Captain (Retired) Dost Muhammad and the deputy commissioner, started from the DPO Office and culminated at Kutchery Chowk.

A large number of people from different walks of life, including social figures, youth, peace committee members, representatives of security agencies, media persons and citizens participated in the rally carrying national flags, banners and placards.

Senior police officials, members of minority communities and peace committee representatives also joined the rally, while participants raised slogans in support of the armed forces and the country.

Addressing the participants at Kutchery Chowk, Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali said the success of “Marka-e-Haq Bunyan-un-Marsoos” reflected the professionalism, courage and sacrifices of the armed forces. She said the achievement had strengthened the country’s defence and enhanced Pakistan’s image at the international level.

She said the nation stood united with its armed forces and was ready to face every challenge collectively. The participants also reaffirmed their commitment to national defence, peace and development.

Special prayers were offered at the end of the rally for the country’s security, stability and prosperity.
