DC Kohat leads ‘Maarka-e-Haq’ ceremony to honor armed forces

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2026) The District Administration of Kohat organized a prestigious ceremony titled "Maarka-e-Haq" at the District Council Hall on Sunday to express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and commemorate national resilience.

The event, chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohat, Mohammad Nawaz, brought together a diverse group of participants including religious scholars, members of the business community, students, and civil society representatives.

Addressing the gathering, DC Mohammad Nawaz emphasized that the Pakistan Armed Forces are the ultimate guarantors of the country's national security, sovereignty, and stability.

During the ceremony, students performed national songs and delivered speeches reflecting deep-rooted patriotism and love for the military.

The Deputy Commissioner praised the youth for their spirit, noting that their dedication to the country is a source of national pride.

In a separate administrative move to ensure legal compliance and environmental protection, the Kohat District Administration has announced a strict ban on all types of mining activities across the district under Section 144.

According to the official notification, all forms of placer gold mining are immediately suspended. The Deputy Commissioner’s office warned that any individuals found violating these orders would face stern legal action.

The administration has urged the general public to cooperate with these measures, which aim to regulate mining provincial government directives.
