DC inspects development, cleanliness in New Murree Bazaar

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi on Thursday visited New Murree Bazaar and reviewed ongoing development works and cleanliness arrangements.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Kamran Sagheer and officers of relevant departments accompanied him during the visit.

The deputy commissioner directed officials to ensure completion of all development projects within stipulated timelines without compromising on quality. He stressed improving road conditions, upgrading footpaths and making the drainage system more effective to facilitate tourists and local residents.

Reviewing sanitation arrangements, he expressed dissatisfaction over the overall cleanliness situation and directed the staff to further improve waste management.

He said timely disposal of garbage, cleaning of drains and maintenance of public places must be ensured to preserve the beauty of Murree.

The deputy commissioner said negligence in cleanliness and development work would not be tolerated, adding that Murree being an important tourist destination requires special attention.

He directed all departments to enhance their performance and ensure provision of better facilities to the public.
