DC directs swift relief to citizens under 'Open Door Policy'

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (R) Nadeem Nasir met with several citizens under the "Open Door Policy" at his office, issuing on-the-spot directives to relevant departments for the immediate redressal of their grievances, here on Wednesday.

The DC emphasized that providing transparent, merit-based and timely relief to the general public remains the top priority of the district administration.

He warned that unnecessary delays or negligence in resolving public complaints would not be tolerated under any circumstances, instructing all government officers to deal with citizens courteously and prioritize their legitimate concerns.

The deputy commissioner directed the officers concerned to track the progress of each application, keep the applicants updated on the status of their complaints, and resolve them within the stipulated timeframes.

He reiterated that the district administration is committed to the principles of public service, transparency, and accountability, adding that the open-door initiative is specifically designed to bridge the gap between the public and the local administration.
