CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ayesha Rizwan on Monday conducted a surprise visit to Faisalabad Road and reviewed cleanliness, security and public facilities in the area.
During the visit, she interacted with citizens shopping in the market and checked the prices of essential items. She fined for three vendors for failing to display official rate lists, warning that negligence of administrative directives would not be tolerated.
The DC directed shopkeepers to maintain cleanliness in the convenience market and ensure that rate lists were prominently displayed.
She emphasized that prices of all fruits and vegetables must be clearly written to prevent overcharging.
“All matters must be handled properly, and no negligence or shortcomings will be tolerated,” she said.
In a separate visit, the deputy commissioner, accompanied by Managing Director WASA, Muhammad Rafi, inspected drainage and sewer cleaning operations on Sargodha Road.
She instructed WASA officials to complete the de-silting of sewage channels before the onset of the monsoon season.
The DC also stressed the importance of ensuring staff attendance on city and main roads for the swift drainage of rainwater during the monsoon.
She directed authorities to equip teams with necessary machinery, including water pumps and suction machines, and to accelerate the de-silting campaign in major drainage channels and sewerage lines to ensure timely completion ahead of the rainy season.
