KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohat, Muhammad Nawaz on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the district’s health steering committee, reviewing performance across the sector and calling for accountability in service delivery.
The session, attended by senior health officials including the Medical Superintendent, Liaquat Memorial Hospital, examined a monthly report presented by the District Monitoring Officer.
Nawaz praised the work of doctors, paramedics and support staff, describing healthcare as a “noble profession”, while warning that any misconduct would face strict legal action.
He also commended personnel who had carried out their duties diligently.
Separately, Additional Assistant Commissioner, Aruba Iftikhar visited a government higher secondary school in Muhammad Zai, where she inspected classrooms, sanitation, teacher attendance and academic standards.
Stressing that quality education is a fundamental right, she directed authorities to maintain a clean environment and ensure the provision of basic facilities.
Ms Iftikhar also inspected the Basic Health Unit in the same area, reviewing emergency services, medicine availability and hygiene conditions.
Meanwhile, Additional Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Ibrahim Khan visited the Service Delivery Center in Lachi, where he examined land record services and spoke with members of the public.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of service and commended local officials for facilitating residents.
