RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Mar, 2026) The City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has issued a comprehensive traffic plan for Eid-ul-Fitr, deploying more than 900 officers and traffic wardens across the city to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
According to CTP spokesman, Chief Security Officer Traffic Muhammad Waseem announced the plan, under which special arrangements have been made outside mosques for Eid prayers. Traffic police officials will remain on duty to facilitate worshippers and manage congestion during peak hours.
To curb violations, special measures have also been taken against one-wheeling and car skating. Dedicated pickets have been established, and special anti-one-wheeling squads will remain active on Chand Raat and Eid days to take strict action against violators.
Additionally, a separate traffic strategy has been devised for parks and recreational spots to maintain smooth traffic flow during the holidays.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam said that all traffic officers and personnel will remain on roads during Eid holidays to ensure the safety and convenience of citizens so they can celebrate the festival with their loved ones.
He urged road users to follow traffic rules while driving to make their Eid safe and pleasant. The CTO also directed officers to perform their duties with dedication and responsibility during these important days.
