LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) The Civil Services academy (CSA), Lahore on Thursday concluded the 53rd Common Training Program (CTP), marking the successful completion of training for 136 probationers in a cohort noted for its diversity and strong emphasis on field-oriented public service learning.

The batch includes significant representation from Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh. In a historic first, female officers outnumbered male probationers at the Academy, with 74 women in the graduating batch. The cohort also includes 10 officers from minority communities, highlighting the institution’s commitment to inclusivity in the civil service.

Addressing the ceremony as Guest of Honor, former Federal secretary for National Health Caption (R) Zahid Syed urged the graduating officers to uphold the oath of public service with integrity and dedication. “Your service is your identity. Speak to your words and prove your mandate. Go forth, not to be served, but to serve,” he said, encouraging them to build careers grounded in credibility and long-term public trust.

CSA Director General Farhan Aziz Khawaja congratulated the probationers and termed the 53rd CTP a “special batch,” highlighting the Academy’s focus on creating public value through the Khusro Pathway. He underscored that the training vision draws inspiration from the ideals of Allama Iqbal, nigah buland, sukhan dilnawaz, jaan pursoz, as guiding principles for leadership.

Over the past three years, the Academy has undergone significant transformation to align its training with national and global governance requirements.

The probationers participated in diverse field engagements, including flood relief operations, public school attachments, and community-based initiatives in collaboration with Akhuwat. Their exposure also included interfaith harmony visits to churches, engagement with old age homes, participation in national and international conferences, and an Islamabad study tour to understand federal governance structures.

Reflecting on the experience, probationer Kinza Mughal described the journey as transformative, emphasizing growth beyond conventional learning, while Muhammad Zeeshan termed the conclusion of training a transition into a more informed and responsible phase of service.

Director Admin and Finance Muhammad Bilal Akram highlighted the Academy’s leadership philosophy rooted in the concept of Khizr-e-Rah, representing enlightened guidance and principled governance. He said the training environment has been aligned with broader national and global frameworks, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Uraan Pakistan.

CTP Director Syed Shabbir Akbar Zaidi noted a deliberate shift from traditional classroom instruction to experiential, hands-on learning.

With the completion of the 53rd CTP, the graduating officers will now proceed to their Specialized Training Programs, carrying forward a renewed commitment to empathy, unity, and effective public service shaped by extensive field exposure.
