DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) The district administration Tank has launched a crackdown against unregistered medical stores and quack centers across the district.
According to the administration, it has been taken under the provincial government’s public agenda to ensure the provision of safe and quality healthcare services for people.
Additional Assistant Commissioner Tank, Malik Sajid Ali Khan led the operation, and during the inspection, several unregistered medical stores were sealed on the spot. Similarly, medical store owners were directed to prominently display their licenses and relevant certificates and to immediately dispose of expired medicines.
He made it clear that the sale of prohibited medicines would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Medicines may only be dispensed on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner.
Shop owners were also instructed to maintain a proper register to keep a detailed record of the purchase and sale of medicines.
The administration has reiterated that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found endangering public health, and similar crackdowns will continue in the future.
