Court sentence drug peddler to 20 year imprisonment

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) An Additional Sessions Judge (Narcotics Court) Saima Qureshi on Monday sentenced a drug peddler to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs800,000 in a drug trafficking case in Faisalabad.

According to court sources, the convict Asif was arrested by Factory Area Police after being found in possession of 10.6 kilograms of hashish. Police had registered case No. 111/25 against him.

The court announced the verdict after the prosecution presented what it termed solid evidence and successfully proved the charges during trial proceedings.

With the judgment,the convict was handed a long-term prison sentence along with a substantial fine.
