Court grants bail to accused in Speedo bus torture case

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) A duty judicial magistrate at the District Courts Lahore has granted bail to a Speedo bus conductor involved in the alleged touture of a girl, ordering his release against surety bonds of Rs 50,000.

According to the written order released on Friday, the accused, Sajjad Ali, was produced before the court, where the investigating officer requested that he be sent to judicial custody. However, the court rejected the request, observing that the offense falls under a bailable provision.

The court directed that the accused be released if he is not required in any other case.

The case has been registered at Chuhng Police Station. According to the FIR, a Speedo bus conductor was allegedly involved in assaulting an unidentified girl.
