Commissioner shares Eid joy with inmates of Old Age Home

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar has visited Old Age Home and shared happiness of Eid-ul-Fitr with the elderly and vulnerable inmates.

During the visit, he met elderly residents of the home, extended Eid greetings and distributed gifts among them.

He also inquired about their health and reviewed the facilities being provided. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and said that the administration was committed to ensuring a home-like environment for senior citizens. All basic necessities including food and healthcare would continue to be provided without any hindrance, he added.

He said that Eid teaches us the values of compassion, equality, love and selflessness.

It is our collective responsibility to take care of our elders and ensure they are treated with dignity and respect.

He emphasized that the families must play their role in supporting their parents so that they can live comfortably within their homes rather than in care institutions.

He also urged the young generation to ensure respect and care for their parents so they are not left to live in institutions.

The elderly residents thanked the commissioner and accompanying officials for spending time with them on Eid and sharing moments of joy.

Some residents recited poetry and appreciated the facilities available at the Old Age Home, expressing satisfaction over the care being extended to them.
