Commissioner reviews security arrangements at Central Imambargah

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jun, 2026) Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen visited Central Imambargah and Muharram procession routes to review security arrangements, here on Wednesday.

Regional Police Officer Suhail Akhtar Sukhera and Deputy Commissioner Capt (Retd) Nadeem Nasir also accompanied her.

The Commissioner issued instructions to the officers of Suthra Punjab Agency for ensuring quality cleanliness arrangements on procession routes and majalis.

The officers also met with the organizing committee at the Central Imambargah and ensured that all administrative machinery is active to maintain law and order during Muharram.

The commissioner said that a heavy contingent of police force would be deployed at sensitive places to ensure strict security cover to the mourners (Azadars).

She said that security would be further beefed up through safe city cameras, search & sweep operations and intelligence based measures.

She further said that all out efforts would be made to provide a safe and peaceful environment to the mourners (Azadarans), adding that no compromise would be made on establishing peace during Muharram.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Cap (Retd) Nadeem Nasir briefed regarding the arrangements on Muharram procession routes and duties of relevant departments.
