Commissioner reviews revenue reforms,land transfer process

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali,where a six-point agenda covering key administrative and revenue matters was reviewed in detail,here on Saturday.

The meeting was attended by DC Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry,CEO FESCO Muhammad Amir Pannu,Deputy Commissioners of Khushab,Mianwali and Bhakkar along with senior revenue officials.

The agenda included transfer of government land to FESCO,implementation of value tables,revenue court management system,enforcement of the Punjab Land Revenue Ordinance 2016, Apna Khet Apna Rozgar program and recovery of government dues.

Officials were informed that 10 government properties were being transferred to FESCO in the division,including six in Sargodha and four in Bhakkar.

The commissioner directed ADCRs to complete record verification within a week,finalize the process and submit a report.

Reviewing the PLUS project,the commissioner expressed displeasure over slow progress and directed the focal person of the Punjab Land Records Authority to expedite work,ordering clearance of cases of nine villages by May 15.

The meeting also reviewed village digitization and land transfer matters.

The commissioner instructed revenue officers to hold daily meetings regarding recovery of dues,transfers and other pending cases and keep the Commissioner’s Office updated on progress.

He stressed that recovery of government dues should remain a top priority and directed timely and transparent disposal of public cases.

He also ordered finalization of value table rates in all four districts within 10 days in line with market trends.

Progress on the Revenue Court Management System was also reviewed, with directions to complete training of all revenue officers within a week.

Expressing concern over recovery of agricultural tax and water rates, the commissioner directed immediate measures and ordered settlement of distribution cases within two months.

The meeting also reviewed the Apna Khet Apna Rozgar program,under which maximum land has been identified in Sargodha district.

The commissioner directed prompt possession in all allotted cases to ensure timely relief to farmers.

He reiterated that transparency in the revenue system and public facilitation remain top priorities.
