Commissioner reviews Muharram arrangements in Khushab

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shoukat Ali on Saturday visited Khushab and chaired a review meeting at the Deputy Commissioner Office regarding arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.

The meeting was attended by Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha, Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr.Jahanzeb Hussain Labar, District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Amara Shirazi, and other officials of relevant departments.

Officials briefed the meeting on arrangements made for processions and gatherings across the district.

Officers from Khushab,Nowshera,Noorpur and Quaidabad also joined via video link and informed the meeting about preparations in their respective tehsils.

The meeting reviewed arrangements related to cleanliness under the Suthra Punjab program,water supply,drainage,health facilities,rescue services,road maintenance and security along procession routes.

Commissioner Shoukat Ali directed the departments concerned to ensure timely completion of all arrangements,including uninterrupted electricity supply,removal of hanging and exposed wires,repair of roads,provision of clean drinking water and establishment of medical camps.

He stressed close coordination among all departments,including Rescue 1122,municipal committees,WASA,health and WAPDA to ensure smooth and peaceful observance of Muharram-ul-Haram.
