Farmers laud loan scheme "Zarkhaizi"

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2026) Farmers welcomed the Federal budget announcement of Rs 300 billion loans for 750,000 farmers

under a scheme named "Zarkhaizi" calling it a landmark initiative for the agriculture sector.

Muhammad Amir Hamza, Malik Ahmad Nawaz, Khalid Mahmood Chaudhry and other farmers praised the government's decision, expressing hope that the loan disbursement process would be simple, accessible and farmer-friendly.

They said the scheme would help farmers purchase agricultural inputs including seeds, fertilizers and pesticides on time, reducing their dependence on exploitative informal moneylenders.

Farmers said transparent distribution of funds, as promised by the government, would be key to the scheme's success and urged authorities to ensure the process remained free from bureaucratic hurdles and political influence.

They expressed confidence that "Zarkhaizi" would yield far-reaching results for the agriculture sector, boosting crop yields, improving rural livelihoods and contributing to national food security.
