Commissioner reviews government properties, Ring Road progress

Commissioner Rawalpindi Division and Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Engineer Aamer Khattak on Monday chaired separate meetings to review matters related to government properties across the division and the progress of the proposed Ring Road Rawalpindi project

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jun, 2026) Commissioner Rawalpindi Division and Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Engineer Aamer Khattak on Monday chaired separate meetings to review matters related to government properties across the division and the progress of the proposed Ring Road Rawalpindi project.

At a meeting held at the RDA Conference Room, Deputy Commissioner Attock, Deputy Commissioner Chakwal and Additional Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi presented detailed briefings on the status of government properties, ongoing issues and progress achieved in their respective districts.

The commissioner directed all concerned officers to expedite the verification, documentation and resolution of property-related matters, stressing the importance of completing assigned tasks within stipulated time-lines.

Khattak instructed district administrations to ensure close coordination and effective follow-up to achieve the desired outcomes.

In a separate meeting, the commissioner reviewed the progress of the proposed Rawalpindi Ring Road project. Director Engineering RDA Komal Chaudhry presented the feasibility study prepared by the National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) and briefed participants on the project's progress and preliminary findings.

He also directed the departments concerned to comprehensively address all planning, technical, financial and administrative aspects to facilitate the early implementation of the project.

The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner Rawalpindi Zenia Humayun, Additional Director General RDA Masood Ahmad Bukhari, Deputy Project Director Ashfaq Sulheri, Chief Planner RDA Muhammad Tahir Meo, Director Administration RDA Nosheen Israr and other officials.
