Commissioner reviews facilities at THQ Hospital Pindigheb, orders expansion of dialysis services

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak on Friday visited Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Pindigheb and carried out a detailed inspection of various departments, directing measures to improve service delivery and patient care.

During the visit, the hospital administration briefed him on operational matters and issues being faced. The commissioner held on-the-spot consultations with the Director Health and other relevant officials to address the concerns.

Taking special notice of the dialysis unit, he directed to increase dialysis services to four days a week to facilitate kidney patients. He directed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Health Attock to immediately post a urologist and relevant medical staff to ensure uninterrupted services.

The commissioner also reviewed the availability of medicines.

He was informed that the Director General Health Services had supplied all essential medicines. He instructed doctors to prescribe only those medicines available at the hospital to spare patients unnecessary inconvenience.

The commissioner inspected the emergency ward, laboratory, X-ray room and other sections, and directed further improvement in cleanliness, staff attendance and quality of services.

He said provision of quality healthcare facilities was a top priority of the Punjab government and that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated. He also directed the hospital administration to ensure courteous behaviour with patients, strengthen the sanitation system and guarantee timely provision of medicines and equipment to improve public healthcare services.
