Commissioner promises resolution of power-loom sector issues

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) Divisional Commissioner Madam Musarrat Jabeen assured the power-loom industry of resolving its issues on sustainable basis and said that provision of business-friendly environment to industrial and trade sectors is top priority of the divisional and district administrations.

She expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of the Council of Looms Owners Association (CLOA) Pakistan led by its Chairman Waheed Khaliq Ramay. Association office-bearer Arshad Jutt and other members of the delegation were also present on the occasion.

The divisional commissioner assured the delegation that issues relating to excise, labor and other government departments concerning the power loom sector would be addressed in a coordinated and sustainable manner.

She said that harmonious relations between employers and workers were essential for industrial growth and economic stability, adding that implementation of minimum wage laws must be ensured in all industrial units.

She emphasized that the administration was fully committed to facilitating the business community and ensuring conducive environment for industrial and commercial activities in the division.

She said that divisional and district administrations were performing their responsibilities diligently to support industrial growth, strengthen investor confidence and resolve problems being faced by businessmen and industrialists.

Earlier, CLOA Chairman paid tribute to the divisional commissioner for her effective measures for development of Faisalabad division and resolution of public issues.

He highlighted various challenges being faced by the power loom sector and said that the council had always played an active role in supporting initiatives of the divisional and district administrations.

He said that the association would continue extending cooperation to the administration for welfare of the industrial sector and improvement in economic activities across the division.
