Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen visits Borstal Institute

Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen visited Borstal Institute on Jaranwala road here on Thursday

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen visited Borstal Institute on Jaranwala road here on Thursday.

She went to the jail hospital, community centre, computer lab, kitchen, TEVTA class rooms and talked to the juvenile inmates. She talked about the quality of food being served to them, skilled courses and education as well as the nature of crimes after which they were confined in the institute.

She also reviewed measures regarding education facilities of the juveniles and also checked health facilities in the hospital, medical instruments, presence of psychologist, and medicine and urged the jail administration to focus on rehabilitation of children so they could live normal life in the society.

The commissioner said that the divisional administration is active in making young prisoners productive and useful citizens of the society after their release from prison.

She stressed steps to provide employment opportunities to the youth upon their release by learning skills from the Borstal Institute and Juvenile Rehabilitation Center and assigned the task to the Industries Department to sign MoU between the Borstal Jail and industries in this regard.
