ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) The Sixth International Paigham-e-Islam Conference will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad, bringing together prominent religious scholars, spiritual leaders, and representatives from diverse schools of thought from Pakistan and abroad to promote peace, harmony, and solidarity.
The conference is being organized by the Pakistan Ulema Council under the chairmanship of Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi. Talking to media here on Thursday, Ashrafi highlighted that the event will feature participation from leading religious figures, including the Chief Justice of Palestine and the Grand Mufti of Palestine, alongside scholars and intellectuals from various Islamic countries.
He said the theme of the conference focuses on key challenges facing the Muslim world, including peace and stability, inter-sect and interfaith harmony, collective efforts against terrorism and extremism, and the evolving contemporary global situation.
It also highlights the role of Saudi Arabia and other Islamic nations in addressing shared challenges.
Ashrafi said the conference will help foster unity among Muslim countries, promote tolerance, and encourage dialogue among different schools of thought to develop a unified stance on issues confronting the Ummah. He said discussions will also focus on strengthening cooperation among Islamic nations for global peace and stability.
He further said the participation of senior scholars and international religious leaders will enhance the significance of the conference, which is expected to serve as a platform for meaningful dialogue and consensus-building on pressing global and regional issues.
Ashrafi said the conference reflects Pakistan’s continued commitment to interfaith harmony, regional peace, and constructive engagement with the wider Muslim world.
