Commissioner inspects Ramazan Sahulat Bazaars

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Thursday visited the Nigahban Ramazan Sahulat Bazaar at Model Mart and Model Rehri Bazaar at 9-Number Chungi to review arrangements and check the availability, quality, and price of essential commodities.

According to a spokesperson, during the visit the Commissioner inspected stalls, ensuring compliance with official price lists.

He directed market administration to enforce government rates, warning against negligence in providing relief to citizens. He also instructed officials to enhance cleanliness, security, and public facilitation measures.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said that the Punjab government initiative Sahulat Bazaars aims to provide quality food items at affordable prices to the people, mitigating inflation's impact during Ramazan. “Strict action against profiteering and hoarding will continue” he mentioned.

Hafiz Shaukat Ali expressed satisfaction with arrangements, issuing directions for further improvement.

The visit was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Majid Bin Ahmad and Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Sher Gondal.
