HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) Commissioner Hyderabad Division Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi visited the Ramadan Relief Savings Bazaar established in Latifabad by Abdul Karim Ghanghra Welfare Organization and I-On Hyderabad in collaboration with the district administration, which is organized to provide essential commodities to deserving families at subsidized rates during the month of Ramazan. On this occasion, DIG Hyderabad Tariq Razak Dharejo and Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zainul Abideen Memon were also with him. The Commissioner inspected various stalls set up in the market, reviewed the arrangements and spoke to the citizens shopping there.
Citizens were seen buying sugar, flour and other food items at subsidized rates in large numbers. Special subsidy stalls for sugar and flour have also been set up with the cooperation of the administration to provide maximum relief to the low-income group.
Speaking on the occasion Commissioner Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi appreciated the joint efforts of Zubair Ghanghra of Abdul Karim Ghanghra Welfare Organization and Imran Suhrawardy of I-One Hyderabad and said that such initiatives reflect the fact that civil society and the district administration are united for the welfare of the people.
He said that the prices of essential commodities in the this markets are significantly lower than in the open market, while the increasing number of deserving families is proof that this initiative is effectively reaching its target.
He added that such activities will be further strengthened and expanded to other areas of the city in the coming days so that relief can be provided to more people and the people can get convenience during the holy month of Ramadan.
