Traffic police launch awareness drive on road safety in Chiniot

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) An awareness campaign on traffic rules and road safety is underway in Chiniot under the supervision of the Traffic Police education Unit led by DSP Traffic Khurram Shahzad.

According to officials, In-charge Traffic Education Unit Sub-Inspector Ali Raza on Saturday visited a private school and different local areas to educate students and drivers about traffic regulations and safe driving practices. Drivers were advised to avoid overspeeding, follow lane discipline, and strictly comply with road safety rules.

As part of the campaign, traffic police also organized an awareness walk and distributed pamphlets among citizens to promote road safety awareness and responsible driving behavior.

District Police Officer Dr Naveed Atif said practical steps are being taken to ensure public safety during travel, adding that alongside enforcement actions, awareness campaigns are being strengthened to reduce traffic accidents through rule compliance.

He further urged citizens to obtain proper driving licenses and advised parents not to allow underage children to drive, stressing that adherence to traffic rules is essential for the safety of all road users.
