Commissioner hoists national flag to mark Pakistan Day:

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Monday hoisted the national flag at the Commissioner Office's lawn to mark Pakistan Day with a simple yet dignified ceremony.

According to a handout issued, the Commissioner was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry and District Police Officer (DPO) Suhaib Ashraf.

A smart contingent of the police force presented a salute to the national flag while the police band played national tunes to infuse a spirit of patriotism among the attendees.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali said that Pakistan Day reminds the nation of the golden principles of unity, faith, and discipline.

He underlined the importance of national solidarity to overcome contemporary challenges, adding that the government's austerity campaign was the need of the hour.

He urged officials to ensure the better use of energy, save petroleum products, and adopt simplicity in official affairs.

The Commissioner also highlighted that measures like working from home and restricted energy usage in educational institutions were being implemented as per official directives.

The Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry remarked that the day honors the sacrifices of forefathers and called for the protection of national resources to address economic hurdles.

The event concluded with special prayers for the stability and progress of Pakistan.
