Commissioner distributes Eid gifts among children of SOS Village

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar visited SOS Village on Canal Road and distributed Eid gifts among children of this institute.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir, representatives of Kailash Group Farrukh Zaman and SOS Village administration were also present on the occasion.

The divisional commissioner interacted warmly with orphan children of SOS Village and extended Eid greetings. He spent some time with them, sharing in their happiness and making the festive occasion memorable for them.

During the visit, he also inspected residential facilities including children’s bedrooms, and reviewed the arrangements made for their welfare.

He directed SOS Village administration to focus particularly on the education, upbringing and overall well-being of the children in addition to providing a nurturing and supportive environment.

Speaking on the occasion, the divisional commissioner said that Eid-ul-Fitr brings a message of joy, love, brotherhood and unity after the blessed month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak.

Such visits were a reminder to stand by underprivileged segments of society and include them in moments of happiness, he added.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir said that true essence of Eid lies in sharing happiness with the less privileged.

“Celebrating Eid becomes more meaningful when we include those who are deprived and ensure that no one feels left out”, he added.
