QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) On the occasion of the World Day Against Child Labour, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stressed that child labour is a grave social problem which not only deprives children of their fundamental rights but also obstructs their education, health, and future opportunities.
He emphasized that it is the responsibility of the state to ensure every child has equal access to education, protection, healthcare, and development. The Balochistan government, he said, is taking practical steps to safeguard children’s rights and eliminate child labour so that no child falls victim to poverty, compulsion, or exploitation.
Sarfraz Bugti underscored that educating children instead of forcing them into labour is the foundation of a prosperous and developed society.

The Chief Minister urged parents, teachers, social organizations, the private sector, and all relevant institutions to play their role in ending child labour and ensuring children are given opportunities for education and growth.
“The protection, education, and welfare of children is our shared responsibility,” he said, adding that society must work together to build an environment where every child can pursue their dreams and move confidently toward a brighter future.
