In a media statement issued on Monday, the CM said the successful execution of the Ramadan Sahulat Bazaar initiative had enabled millions of citizens to purchase quality food items at affordable rates, describing it as an exemplary public service delivery model. She appreciated the dedication of the PSBA team, noting that continuous efforts had helped stabilize market prices and benefit the common man.
According to official figures, around 40 million citizens visited Sahulat Bazaars, where approximately 36.9 million kilograms of essential commodities were sold. The province established 80 markets, including 49 Sahulat Bazaars, 20 Sahulat On-the-Go outlets and 11 temporary bazaars, with more than 4 million customers recorded across these facilities.
Around 2.93 millions kilograms of subsidized flour were also sold at discounted rates, providing additional relief of Rs 180 million to consumers.
Officials said 1,763 stalls were set up across the bazaars, while 125 cashless facilitation centres were introduced to promote modern payment methods. In addition, 886 ration cards and 3,778 Nigahban Ramadan cards were used by shoppers.
A free home delivery service was also launched through a mobile application, receiving over 37,000 orders and delivering essential goods without additional charges, saving consumers approximately Rs 131.1 million.
