LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) The Civil Services academy (CSA) Lahore on Thursday concluded the 53rd Common Training Programme (CTP), marking the successful completion of training for 136 probationers in a cohort noted for its diversity and field-oriented approach to public service learning.
The batch features significant representation from Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh. For the first time in the Academy’s history, female officers outnumbered male probationers, with 74 women participating in the program. The cohort also includes 10 officers from minority communities, reflecting the Academy’s commitment to inclusivity in civil service.
Guest of Honour Zahid Syed, addressing the graduating officers, urged them to uphold their oath of service with dedication and integrity. He stated that public service should define their identity and encouraged them to remain relevant, trustworthy, and committed to serving the nation even beyond their official careers.
Director General CSA Farhan Aziz Khawaja congratulated the participants and highlighted the significance of the batch. He stated that the probationers were trained with a focus on creating public value through the Khusro Pathway. Referring to the vision inspired by Allama Iqbal, he underscored the importance of leadership qualities rooted in high vision, compassionate speech, and passionate commitment.
Over the past three years, the Academy has undergone a transformation to align its training with national and international requirements. During the program, probationers engaged in diverse field activities, including flood relief operations, public school attachments, and community-based initiatives in collaboration with Akhuwat.
They also participated in national and international conferences, interfaith harmony visits to churches, and social welfare activities such as visits to old age homes.
The training further included an Islamabad study tour to understand Federal governance, a military attachment to build discipline, and sessions at the Punjab Judicial Academy. The cultural and ethical spirit of the program was reflected in “Aahang-e-Khusravi: Muhabbat ka Saaz aur Aman ka Raag,” promoting unity and harmony.
Sharing their experiences, probationers described the program as transformative. Kinza Mughal noted that the journey extended beyond traditional learning, fostering personal and professional growth, while Muhammad Zeeshan termed the completion not an end but a transition toward greater responsibility.
Director Admin and Finance Muhammad Bilal Akram highlighted the Academy’s leadership philosophy based on the concept of Khizr-e-Rah, emphasizing wisdom, integrity, and foresight in governance. He added that the Academy has aligned its training environment with the goals of sustainable development and national progress initiatives.
Director CTP Syed Shabbir Akbar Zaidi said the Academy has deliberately shifted from conventional classroom teaching to experiential and hands-on learning methods.
With the conclusion of the 53rd CTP, the 136 probationers will now proceed to their Specialized Training Programs, carrying forward a renewed commitment to public service, empathy, and effective service delivery shaped by extensive field exposure.
