Circus worker murder case solved

LODHRAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Dhanot police claimed to have arrested the main suspects involved in the murder of a circus worker during the annual Pir Jeevan fair.

According to SHO Dhanot Sheikh Saleem, the tragic incident took place after a minor verbal dispute turned violent, when the accused allegedly attacked two men with knives. As a result of the attack, a man identified as Ejaz lost his life while another victim, Faheem, suffered serious injuries and was shifted to hospital.

Following the incident, police registered a case against two nominated and two unidentified suspects on the complaint lodged by the deceased’s brother.

Acting promptly, the Dhanot police conducted raids and succeeded in arresting the nominated accused, identified as Dilshad and Sarfraz.

Police also recovered the weapon allegedly used in the murder during the investigation.

District Police Officer Lodhran, Capt (R) Ali Bin Tariq, reiterated that strict action against criminals involved in heinous crimes would continue without discrimination. He said ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property was top priority.
