Chiniot’s Eid cleanliness drive continues under ‘Suthra Punjab’ initiative

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) The Eid-ul-Adha cleanliness operation continued across Chiniot under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif as part of the “Suthra Punjab” campaign aimed at ensuring a clean and healthy environment for citizens during the festive days.

In this regard on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan and Managing Director of Suthra Punjab Wasiq Abbas Haral visited various areas of the city, collection points, and union councils to review arrangements for the collection and disposal of sacrificial animal waste.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that providing a clean environment to the public remained the district administration’s top priority, adding that all available resources were being utilized to make the sanitation campaign fully effective during Eid holidays.

During the visits, the Deputy Commissioner distributed sweets among sanitation workers performing duties in different localities, including MC Chowk, and appreciated their dedicated services. Later, officials also visited the Suthra Punjab control room and awareness camp to inspect the mechanism for addressing public complaints and monitoring cleanliness operations.
