Chiniot police hold training workshop to promote community policing culture

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, authorities are taking steps to strengthen community policing and improve police-public relations across the province.

According to officials, a training workshop was held at Police Line Chiniot on Wednesday, on the directions of Inspector General Punjab Abdul Karim to promote positive attitudes and professional conduct among police personnel. Senior police officers, religious scholars, doctors, investigation officers, and police staff participated in the session.

Speakers highlighted the directives of the Chief Minister regarding respectful and courteous treatment of citizens, emphasizing that all individuals visiting police stations and offices must be dealt with dignity and care.

Participants were instructed to adopt polite behavior and contribute towards fostering trust between police and the public.

Officials said efforts are underway to bring a positive change in police station culture through improved service delivery. They added that such training programs will continue in phases to ensure long-term reform and effective implementation of community policing principles.
