Chinese Experts Laud World Class Facilities at GIMS Liver Transplant Unit

SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) A delegation of Chinese experts visited the Pir Abdul Qadir Shah Jeelani Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) Hospital, Gambat on Monday.

During the visit, the delegation held detailed discussions with GIMS Director Dr. Rahim Bux Bhatti.

The Chinese team toured various organ transplant units established at GIMS Hospital and also interacted with patients.

While visiting the Liver Transplant Unit, the delegation was briefed by Dr Nadeem Bajkani on the unit’s various departments, state-of-the-art facilities, infection control protocols, patient care systems, and the complete transplant procedure. The experts took a keen interest in every aspect and appreciated the professional expertise of the doctors, nursing staff and paramedical team.

The Chinese delegation particularly commended the strict adherence to international guidelines and protocols at the unit. They termed the patient safety measures, pre- and post-transplant management, and the use of modern technology as highly impressive.

The delegation observed that the facilities and quality of services at GIMS were at par with any international liver transplant center. They said the positive feedback was not only an honour for the hospital but would also serve as motivation to further improve services.
