RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Chairman of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team(CMIT), Raja Muhammad Hanif, on Thursday reviewed progress on the “Construction and Rehabilitation of Slip Road including Installation of Informative Signboards at Faizabad Interchange”.
Presiding over a meeting to review implementation of the project and other development schemes, he commended the Rawalpindi Development Authority’s (RDA) performance and adherence to deadlines, saying the timely delivery of public infrastructure projects remained a top government priority.
Briefing participants, Chief Engineer Anwar Baran said the project had been inaugurated on March 6, 2026, at an approved cost of Rs15.490 million and would be completed and handed over within the next two weeks.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Deputy Director of Engineering-III Jawad Arshad presented details of construction progress and administrative measures taken to ensure the timely completion of the scheme.
During the meeting, the chairman also sought an update on the Rawalpindi Ring Road project. Deputy Director of Engineering-I, Komal Chaudhry, briefed participants on the latest developments regarding the initiative.
Chief Engineer Anwar Baran also discussed proposed Annual Development Programme (ADP) allocations for the RDA for the fiscal year 2026-27, to which Muhammad Hanif assured the meeting that he would recommend the proposal to the competent authority for favourable consideration.
