Ceremony held to mark Pakistan Day

TANK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) A ceremony was held to mark Pakistan Resolution Day here on Monday.

The event was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Tanvir Ahmed and witnessed the participation of senior district officials, law enforcement personnel, journalists, social figures, and local residents.

The program began with a salute to the national flag by a well-disciplined police contingent, followed by the hoisting of the flag and the national anthem, evoking patriotic fervor among attendees.

Speaking at the event, dignitaries highlighted the historical significance of March 23, 1940, when the Lahore Resolution laid the foundation for Pakistan.

They emphasized the importance of unity, faith, and discipline, urging citizens, particularly the youth, to contribute positively to the nation’s development.

A brief walk for national solidarity was organized within the DC Office premises, symbolizing unity and love for the country.

The ceremony concluded with prayers for Pakistan’s peace, prosperity, and continued progress.

Deputy Commissioner Tanvir Ahmed and Acting DPO Tank Khalid Mahmood ensured full security arrangements for the event, which was attended by a large number of citizens and community leaders.
